Wow. A week ago today we had the most fun Tokyo baby group reunion at Faith's beautiful home in Baltimore! Melanie and Co. came up from FL, Trish and Kate from Texas, and we came down from CT. Faith was most definitely the hostess with the most-ess (very apparent that she used to be an event planner!) Great food, drink, tons of fun toys and activities for the kids, goody bags, and the best part- she rented a bounce house for the back yard! This was such a hit with the kids. As the kids were jumping Connor said "Mommy I'm having so much fun!" and Sloan said "This is the best day EVER!" So freaking cute!! Not to mention it gave us girls a chance to just sit and chat for a bit while the kids played :)
Some of my pics:
Leaving CT. Can you tell someone was a wee bit excited??

The whole crew. Original baby group members: Sloan (second from left), and Kate, Connor and Carter (the three on the far right). Plus three new younger siblings: Emmy, Leyla and Finn.

Love this one of Faith ;)

Cheers!

I was mildly obsessed with her backyard. It was so huge and flat and perfectly shaded by all the trees. I think I could live back there ;)

Emmy (Carter's little sister) was such a good little Mommy to Leyla while we were there, it was so cute.

Of course Miss L loves the attention. Who me? ;)

More bounce house fun!

My little Evel Knievel liked to jump off the side of the slide. I don't even blink anymore.

Check me out!

It was so cute when they all sat down to eat together.

Leyla: Can I get some of that?

They had all sorts of fun musical instruments- a key board, drum set, microphones, etc. Connor was singing into this microphone for about 80% of the time we were there (he pretty much sticks to Journey). He kept asking the other kids if they would "go play Rock n Roll with me." Love that kid so much!

Here's Connor on microphone and Kate on drums. They dragged their instruments into the little playhouse with them!

Playhouse fun.

Leyla loved the little kitchen.

Carter brought his Spiderman costume, which the kids got to take turns wearing!

There's something really special about your first baby "baby group" - having friends/resources/support in tackling all those crazy new parent experiences, etc. Not to mention in a foreign country! I don't think I realized how lucky I was at the time. So words can't really express how fun it was for us to all be able to get together again. And I was equally excited to see the kids. I got so many hugs! It's crazy how grown up everyone is now. Of course I'm biased but they've all grown up to be such crazy awesome little people! I mean seriously, how did we all get so lucky???
Again, SO FUN. What are the chances this could be an annual event? ;)
