Recent Iphone Randomness- Summer Fun

Merwin Meadows beach. Sweetest big brother imaginable.
Loves her princess dress!
Crushing watermelon at a 4th of July party.
Who's excited for Vacation Bible School?? With him are two of his best buds- Drew and Maximo. So cute.
Later that afternoon, Connor wanted to stop and take a picture in front of the fire truck. A fireman saw him and invited them to sit in the truck, so fun!
 Riding bikes.
 Trip to the dentist.
 Post pool.

Visiting "Leyla's chickens" (she swears they're hers) at the New Canaan nature center.
A couple weekends ago my Mom came up to visit. While the kids were having a blast with Grandma, Andrew and I stole away to the city for an overnight. I only took two pics- of my margarita (there were several more) and coffee the next morning. Go figure! We had a really awesome time. Thank you Mom!
Breakfast the next morning at Moonstruck, on the same block as my first (of five) NYC apartments (31st and 2nd Avenue). Ahhh... memories!

 Silly.
 Painting pottery!
 Think they're related??
Leyla's hair (the limited amount she has) has gotten so light this summer!
Having so much fun!

The Maine Idea

We had an amazing time in Maine!! A special thanks to the Schirners for inviting us to crash their vacation for a bit. Crazy that it was only a 5 hour drive for us. It's extraordinarily beautiful up there and we are definitely looking forward to exploring Maine more! And we'll get to see the Schirners again on Friday night, they'll be stopping at our house to spend the night during their trek back to Ohio.

 Boogie boarding boys.

This wagon (brought by the Schirners) was clutch.

 Off to the beach!

 There were tons of surfers.
Chillin.

 Leyla loved to be splashed.
She was having the time of her life. That girl is pure joy.
 My silly girl!

Lobster rolls at The Lobster Shack at Two Lights. Apparently the best around and they definitely did not disappoint.

Henry, Connor and Leyla at Two Lights. Note that Connor was back in Mr. Vacation mode.
Playing with our dinner. More lobster! But when in Rome (or Maine)...

Hanging in the neighbor's yard, loved these!

Adirondacks with the Emalas

It's not even half over and I think I can easily say this has been my favorite summer ever! We've been cramming so much family fun into our weekends (and the kids and I during the week)- it's just been awesome (though busy!) This past weekend we headed up to the camp, joined by Ashley, Jason and Claire. The kids got along so well and it was a perfect mix of family and friend time. We really had a blast!

Ready for the lake!
Dancing on the dock.

Playing in the water.
Not a bad view.

Connor having breakfast at his little breakfast nook.
A little Old Maid action for the boys.
Andrew and Jason rowing out to the boat. They took us all for a really fun ride.
Leyla and Claire. How sweet is this??
Connor and his s'more. Apparently, even with all the fun things we did up at the camp, this was his very favorite part (eating s'mores). He's definitely my son!
So cool.

Andrew and Connor swimming out to the floating dock.

Connor doing big jumps off the dock.
Chillaxing on the porch.
Paddle boating.
Splish splashing with my girl.
I found this shirt for Connor and told him this was a great vacation shirt. He insisted on wearing it all weekend long :) We've since nicknamed him "Mr. Vacation." Here's Mr. Vacation at the I Go Inn for lunch on our way home.
Next up- this weekend we're heading up to Maine (this will be our first time there) with another one of our favorite families to travel with- the Schirners (meeting us there from Ohio!) We can't wait!
