Beach Hunk
We're beach bound later this week- once again we're heading up to Higgins Beach in Maine with the Schirner family. Fun in the sun (or in the shade in Logan's case) awaits! Then we'll be going to the camp for the first time this summer for a few more days. Can't wait! I put Logan in his new beach hunk outfit today in anticipation :)

Logan Week 3
The excitement of this week- a great visit with Nana and Grandad, two nights of only waking once, a first huge smile (not caught on camera, and could have been gas related because it hasn't happened since but boy was it great!!), visits from Sandi and Annie, first trip to a restaurant and first bath!
Morning Logan.
Baby prayer pose.
Nana arrives!
The many faces of Andrew and Logan.
Hi!
Love this.
First bath (he loves the bath).
Sleepy dudes.
Got a kick out of his little feet peeking out from under a blanket. Can't get over those toes!

Logan Pics
Logan continues to be a dream baby- very alert, rarely fusses and a great eater/sleeper- can't ask for much more! He eats a lot during the day and is gaining good weight (he was 8lbs, 4oz at birth, 7lbs, 9oz at discharge from the hospital, and 8lbs, 7oz at 10 days-- babies should reach their birth weight again by 10 days). So I've stopped setting my alarm to feed him in the night. He generally wakes twice to eat at night but twice this week he only woke once. During the day he eats every 3 hours.
My favorite way to nap.
In case he loses it (as some babies do)- wanted to document that he once had hair!
Deep in thought.
New car placements. Leyla and Logan in the two captains chairs and Connor in the back seat. Of all the new baby adjustments, this has been the only real issue. Leyla is really unhappy that she no longer sits next to Connor (those two are attached at the hip). Connor on the other hand, thinks its very cool to have the whole back row to himself!
Chicks dig him.
She loves to hold her baby bro!
I love how he holds his little hands.
Coffee talk with Logan.
Unfortunately what was otherwise an awesome weekend took a turn for the worst on Sunday night. The kids were horsing around in the kitchen and Leyla tripped and fell really hard into the corner of a kitchen cabinet, cutting her forehead pretty badly. It was not good. We took her to the ER and she had to get 6 stitches. Luckily she's so young, her skin should easily regenerate.
Leyla, tough as nails as she is, never skipped a beat. She's definitely going to be the one to give us a run for our money. She is every bit her father's daughter (as Connor- future Health and Safety Inspector- is every bit his mother's son). This would be Leyla's third trip to the ER in her short 2.5 years (but the first not via ambulance- at least Andrew and I are feeling better equipped with how to react!) She lives hard and fast and I fear this probably won't be the last time we're there either.
Bandaged Leyla, still happy as ever!

Logan's First Days
Can't believe Logan's a week old already! We are just so in love with this sweet baby boy!
Our first day and night at home was crazy. I was still recovering physically and after being away from Connor and Leyla for three nights they wanted a lot of attention. Plus I was trying to get a breastfeeding routine well established with Logan. However since then we've really settled into our new groove and everything has been going so well! The big kids totally get when I just need to have some quiet time with the baby and are really good about entertaining themselves. Leyla's new line is "Can I just be with you Mommy?" which I think is so sweet. She'll just sit quietly with me when I feed Logan, she just wants to be near us. As for Logan, he's an absolute angel baby so far (which is just what we needed out of our #3!) Of course its still early but he doesn't fuss whatsoever and is happy to just sit and watch what the big kids are doing. He's already in a great routine and wakes just twice to eat at night- nice!
Some pics of our first days at home:
My beautiful girl with her new baby brother (we had just come home from the hospital.)
The kids rushed to give their lovies to Logan, which I thought was just about the highest honor they could give him ;) They piled on a couple others as well.
They love to push him in his swing.
First group meal :)
Little burrito baby.
Chillin'
Buddha baby smile.
Big yawn!
Sweet boy.
Connor engaging Logan in a Transformers battle. Can you tell he's pumped to have a brother??
Quick Leyla picture. She really cracked us up, here she was telling us she was heading to work. Andrew asked her "and exactly what is your job??";)
Loving on Grandma. My Mom has been so unbelievably helpful- I'm so grateful! She has to go back home later today :(
Things I'm loving about Logan:
*His little hands and feet.
*His (huge) blue eyes.
*He's my first baby with hair!
*He has the funniest of facial expressions- the best of which is this look of total shock that he's here and that there are constantly little people in his face ;)
*How much he looks like Connor did as a baby.
*His milk coma face.
*The way he smells- its absolutely delicious. Connor says he smells like bubbles.
*How super snugly he is. I just want to love on him all day long.
*He's so alert!
*He seems to be a really chill baby so far- fingers crossed that continues!
