Happy Halloween!

Before the town Halloween parade this past weekend. A Brave princess and a Ninja Turtle.
Ninja action pose!

Scary faces!
Paging Dr. Logan!
Andrew wore this get up to his office this morning. He's Alan from the movie The Hangover. So awesome!

Thanks Nana!

Andrew's Mom came to stay for a week- it was so great having her! A huge thank you for all her help while she was here!!

Nana and her crew.
I think she really loved getting to know this little guy!

Logan 4 Months!

In the early days with Logan, when I was feeling a little overwhelmed by the constant feedings, etc., I actually circled October 28th (his 4 month birthday) in my calendar- because I knew-- that's the game changing baby birthday. And it is! 4 months is a whole new world! The biggest change in the last month- Mr. Personality!! He's smiling constantly, and loves to hear the sound of his little voice. Overall, he's one happy and content little dude, and continues to be sweet as can be. Only downer of this past month- apparently he was just kidding about sleeping through the night. He's a hoss- and I think he's just so hungry. He's right at that age where he's probably ready for rice and solid foods (or a cheeseburger, really) but he's not quite old enough. I'll talk to his doc about it at our appt. on Friday. In the meantime, we're working on weaning his night feedings and beefing up his day feedings. A little crying it out might be on the horizon sometime soon too- afterall, he's 4 months old now!!

Buddha belly.
 His feet are huge!!

With our scarecrow man (a perfect little seat for him!)

 Saturday morning cartoons.
So lucky to have a big sis like Leyla!

 Loves to hold toys.
Doesn't leave much room for food in my cart!
 My littlest boy.
 Loves the exercaucer!
 Peekaboo at the grocery store.

Happy 4 months little boo!

Happy Anniversary!

8 years- in the blink of an eye. I'm so proud of the family and life we've built together- and so, so thankful to be sharing it with you! Hands down best husband and baby-Daddy ever. I love you more than words!

Happy Friday!

I love Logan's sweet smile in this picture. And this jacket and hat were Connor's as a baby!

Jimmy Legs

I think it's so cute when they find their feet. Logan just chills with his legs in the air these days, he loves playing with his feet. And as I've mentioned I love those chunky thighs!
Such a happy guy!
Delicious :)

Stamford Nature Center

This fall weather has been nothing short of spectacular! Yesterday we lived on the edge by skipping nap time in favor of a picnic lunch and afternoon romp at the Stamford Nature Center (and yes it is not lost on me that skipping naps is my version of living on the edge these days, ha). But it did not disappoint!

The otters are usually hiding from us but here they were out and about and standing tall!
Leyla and her love for goats- she is so my daughter ;)
My precious cargo.
So I sorta fell in love with this Mama pig and her three baby pigs. And unfortunately now I think I'm swearing off bacon for awhile :(
3 Litte Pigs.
Peekaboo baby.
Loved watching her run and play. All that was missing was Connor. We still miss him a lot now that he's in school all day and unable to join us on field trips during the week.
 She loved the horses.
Reptile house. All of the reptiles housed there have been rescued locally. Apparently people were keeping them as pets and then when they got too big or difficult to take care of they just let them loose. There was a huge African turtle (the size of a mini Cooper), alligators, ridiculously large and scary snakes, huge lizards, etc. People are crazy.

Tree frogs. I don't think those are rescues though.
These huge pythons (one an albino) were cuddling!
Our lunch spot.
Another perfect fall day!

Thanks Mom!

My Mom was here for a visit this past weekend. Ahhhh, it's so wonderful having Mom/Grandma around!! She helped us get caught up on everything around the house, and we got in a date night too (yay!) The kids enjoyed countless games of crash pillows, card games and other fun Grandma stuff. She loved watching Connor play soccer and of course got in some QT with this guy, who is a whole lot bigger than the last time she was here!
I am so so envious of those that live close to their Moms (or in laws!)- I can't even imagine what a game changer that would be! Thanks Mom!

Recent Iphone Pics

Last swim lesson of the season. Only Connor took lessons, but Leyla was allowed to swim with everyone afterwards. Here this little boy asked Leyla if she wanted to go for a ride. She said only if she could drive, such a Leyla response!
Andrew and Leyla lunch date.
I took the big kids to see "Planes" in the theater. Are they cute movie dates or what?!
Pre-bath time underwear Uno.
It's that time of year... I'm a soccer Mom again!

Andrew is coaching again, he does such an amazing job with the kids!
First pot of chili of the season!!
I took this at Back to School Night at Connor's kindergarten. He had to draw a picture of what Happiness is to him. He said "Happiness is playing with my Grandpa Steve's dog." So sweet!
I survived a week on my own while Andrew went to Belgium! He sent me this picture while there. I did ok, but words cannot describe how glad I was for him to come home, ha!!
Corn maze at Silverman's Farm. Is that the face of fall fun or what?!
Burying Leyla in the corn. They also made "corn angels."
We took a pit stop to feed the goats.
I drove to NYC recently and when I went to get the stroller out of the trunk I found this little guy (baby frog) on my back windshield wiper. Apparently he sat on the back like that the whole drive there! I left him there of course, and he was still there when I got back to my car. I didn't have anything to put him in to bring him in the car with me, so I just left him on the back like that for the drive home. He jumped off shortly after getting home. Can you imagine what a crazy morning that must have been for him??
The sunglasses have become a staple of her outfits everyday. No 3 year old girl drama here ;)
She tucks her babydolls into anything that Logan isn't using in the moment. There are babies everywhere! That's not Logan for the record.
"Fall Fiesta" (a fall social for the parents) at Leyla's preschool (have I mentioned that I'm currently the president of the school board there?? - more on that for another post).
It was held at the school and was so fun, the committee did such an amazing job. There was a burrito rolling station and a margarita bar. I'm sure I've mentioned how much I love this school (and not just because they serve margaritas on the playground!) Note the drink names, cute.
Totally transformed the outdoor area.
The favor.
Also at Leyla's school- the Fall Festival (for parents and kids).
 Passed out at the picnic!
