Happy Valentine's Day!

Wishing family and friends near and far a very Happy Valentine's Day!
Started the day off with pink pancakes, pink smoothies and V-day treats.

Big Day!

Very exciting news in our house this week- Tuesday morning Leyla had her (3 hour) peanut allergy food challenge at the allergist's office. And she PASSED! Meaning she's outgrown her peanut allergy. So peanut butter is officially a free for all (for all) around here now! She is thrilled (as am I!) to say the least!!

Here she is about to try peanut butter for the first time (I brought dark chocolate/peanut butter swirl- extra fancy for the big occasion!) So excited!

And as she likes to tell everyone- "I tried peanut butter and nothing happened!!" Woohoo, because there's nothing scarier than having a kid with a peanut allergy.

Next up- the baked goods/egg challenge at the end of the month! Way to go Leyla!

First Word!

This past week Logan has started to say "mama" with purpose- music to my ears! Love this little guy so much!

Stratton, VT

This past weekend we took our first trip to Vermont for a ski weekend with our friends the Emalas! VT was awesome and we had such a fun time. Connor, Leyla and Claire went to ski school while Andrew and Jason skied together. Ashley and I held down the fort with the babies (they have a 5 month old). Next year I'll have Logan go to the childcare center there (it looked really nice) so I can hit the slopes too!

Andrew would pick Connor up from ski school and then take him up the chairlift to the top of the mountain to ski down. He sent me this picture taken on the chairlift.

I wish I had a better picture of Leyla on her skis but we were able to watch her and Claire take the "magic carpet" up the little hill (if you even want to call it that!) and ski down. They both had a blast!

Queen Elsa!

So to say I've got a Frozen (newest Disney movie) fan over here would be the underestimate of the year. She's borderline obsessed. Her favorite character is Queen Elsa so I couldn't help but get her the Queen Elsa costume. She wears it a lot (ie, almost constantly). We downloaded the music and a favorite activity of hers is to wear her costume while belting out the songs. We'll be taking a trip to Disneyworld later this month (can't wait!!) where she'll get to meet the real Queen Elsa and Princess Anna. She'll wear her costume then as well of course. I'm not sure who's more excited- her, or me to get to see her face ;)
