They love to hold hands, wherever we go. I hope it's a long time before they grow out of this because I think it's just the sweetest thing!

Memorial Day Weekend
Bunch of random pictures from the weekend:
Best buddies.
On Saturday morning we were invited over to swim at Andrew's old boss's house in Greenwich. Here's Leyla ready for the pool party. Note she's wearing her first bow ;)
It was tough to chose my favorites of Leyla in the pool, she had such a blast!
She loved to jump in.
Dai Hayashi, a friend and former colleague of Andrew's from Tokyo, was in New York this past week and came out to stay with us on Saturday night. It was so nice to catch up with him.
Naked baby in the sprinkler!

So fun!
Andrew attempted to create a makeshift slip and slide out of a tarp.
Demonstrating it for the kids. He gets an A for effort (and my goodness did I laugh!!) but he decided to order one from Amazon for next time ;)
Time for yard work. The kids love to ride around in the back.
Connor was just lounging.
Best summer cocktail ever. We juiced (we are big into juicing!) watermelon, pineapple, lemon and a
few strawberries, then added 1/2 glass of champagne. Cheers!
Our roses are in full bloom!
New Canaan's Memorial Day parade.
Connor's view from the top.
Hope everyone had a fun and safe Memorial Day weekend. Thinking of all those that have or continue to fight for our freedom!

Connor's Bike
This might be entertaining only to me, but I happened to have my camera on fast action photo yesterday, and caught a funny and cute moment between the kids. Leyla thinks she's four (ask her how old she is and she answers (rather convincingly), "Connor's four, and I'm four too!") She also thinks she can do everything that Connor can, like riding his bike (mind you, Leyla has a tricycle of her own but it's not a big kid bike like Connor's). Here she was having a (rather dramatic) fit about wanting to ride Connor's bike instead of her own. Rather than intervene, I took pictures ;)
The horror!
She attempted to attach herself to him so he couldn't go without her.
So upset!
Connor (who we affectionately call "the hall monitor" for his inability to break any safety or other rule nor to allow anyone else to do so) is telling Leyla that she can't ride a bike without a helmet.
Leyla doesn't care.
The standoff continues.
Finally!
This is the part that really got me. Connor was so sweet in helping her to ride. He was coaching her on where to put her hands, how to pedal, etc.

Fun Fair
Connor's school's end of year party/fun fair was tonight. I was part of the committee that put this night together, and it was a great success! I handled all the entertainment- the climbing gym, firetruck, music, etc. We had a gorgeous night for it and everyone had such a fun time. I took a ton of pictures...
On our way out.
Connor was less than thrilled with having to take a picture. And when he's feeling like that this is the terrible smile (more of a snarl really) that he makes.
In the next picture he was making such a bad face that I had to I crop him out because Leyla's face was too cute to scrap the pic. I think she looks like a Cheshire cat here, no? She is the funniest little girl!
The kids loved this.
We did a beach theme.
Old Faithful arrives! Side note- this truck belongs to our town and comes to events like this for free. How neat is that?
Best Buds!
Dancing in the street.
Connor was SO excited!
Play doh table.
BBQ tent.
The party scene.
Picnic dinner.
The tat table.
Table for the Moms and Dads ;)
So happy that Connor will be here for one more year before starting kindergarten!
