C and I have fun during the week and all but we really love the weekends when Andrew is around too! Especially after he's been away all week traveling for work.
Andrew returned from Tokyo late Thursday night. On Friday he dove right back in to working on stuff around the house. I swear he always finds something that needs to be done, and he's so handy! On Friday (massively jet lagged mind you), after we put Connor down for his nap Andrew nonchalantly told me that he was going out to the back yard to climb a tree. I didn't really think he was serious but after going out to look for him a half hour later, apparently he was! Apparently he thought there were some dead branches that needed to be cut down. Note where the ladder stops, yet how high up he is. And he climbed that holding a handsaw in one hand. Special guy I have here ;)

On Friday night our friends Erin and Dan took the train in from the city to stay with us for the night. Here are the boys playing football on Sat. morning- Dan vs. Andrew and Connor.

Later on Saturday, after we took Erin and Dan back to the train, it was time for more sports, this time baseball. With the exception that occasionally Connor insists on wearing the glove on one hand and holding the bat in the other at the same time, he's a really good hitter!!

Family walk time. I insist on us taking really long family walks together every weekend. I go for exercise, Andrew always brings beer. Whatever, it gets him out there with us :) Here Connor is crying because he wants me to push the stroller (he's going through a phase where he wants me to be the one to do everything for him- hopefully its only a phase!)

After church on Sunday we hit the "Touch a Truck" event at the local elementary school. Basically they brought in all sorts of big trucks and emergency vehicles that all the kids could climb in, pretend to drive, honk the horn, etc. C had a great time, although I think he was a little overwhelmed by all the big trucks since he hardly took his thumb out of his mouth while we were there (he sucks his thumb when he's feeling a little scared or intimidated). Here he is heading for the firetruck first (of course).

Here's Andrew trying to talk the director of summer baseball camp into letting C sign up this summer even though its for kids 6 and older. Andrew swore that even though he's only 2.5 he has "advanced ball skills."

Headed for a big rig.

My little stinker's fave truck of the day? The big septic tanker. Andrew said it smelled really bad in there. So gross.

Riding in the choo choo- it's all he wanted to do!

Waving to Daddy. PS- I was so hot I thought I would literally melt. It just might be a
long summer for me.

Love our weekends in the burbs!
