SuperStar

Playdate with Claire

Last week Ash and Claire came over the play. It's always fun hanging out with the Emala ladies!
Play time!
Nearly impossible to get one of them both smiling and looking at the camera. But one out of two ain't bad!
Claire has such a great smile.
Somewhere along the way Leyla lost her shirt. But her smile was too cute not to share!

NYC

On Saturday afternoon we all headed into the city. First we hit a new playground (with sprinklers!) in Central Park. Annie, John and Sadie met us there too! Then we all played on the Great Lawn for a bit before heading over to Brother Jimmy's for dinner (perfect way to end the day). Didn't take many pics but here's a few.

We couldn't all fit in our one car so we had to train it out there! Here's Henry on the train.
Our caravan strolling up Park Ave. Coincidentally, that's my old office building behind my head. Ah the KPMG memories...

Leyla looks like such a little peanut out there with all the big kids!
Hot child in the city!

Leyla's Baptism

Another reason for Matt and Jessica's visit this past weekend- Leyla was baptized, and they did us the honor of serving as her Godparents. It was a wonderful, very special day for our Leyla Grace.

Yes babies probably aren't supposed to walk down the aisle to receive their baptism, but we were a little late and she's a little early ;) Her first walk down the aisle in a beautiful white dress!
Waiting for things to get started. He looks so grown up to me here!
Sweet girl.

Thank you Matt and Jessica. And God bless our sweet baby girl!

Cameron and Stephanie's Wedding

On Friday night Matt, Jessica, (in from Columbus for the weekend!) Andrew and I headed out to Long Island for Cameron (Andrew's friend from college) and Stephanie's wedding. This was our first Long Island wedding experience and it certainly did not disappoint. I sort of sucked at picture taking, so many of these are from Matt's camera. I was way too busy stuffing my face with the most delicious food ever, drinking lots of champagne, and dancing like crazy. The DJ was truly amazing. Maybe its because we hadn't been to a wedding in a while, maybe it was because the Schirners and Binos were there with us too, or maybe because I danced all night like no one was watching, but it might rank up there as one of my Top 10 most favorite weddings (we're lucky in that we've been to a lot of really great ones). This one was just pure fun.

The first wedding I've been to where the groom's hair was longer than the brides.
Can't imagine the flower budget here. They were spectacular.

To Infinity and Beyond

We had to leave the camp early this morning so that Andrew could be back in time to catch his flight to Tokyo tonight. While packing Connor insisted that Andrew take his cherished Buzz Lightyear toy with him. Connor really wanted his Daddy to have Buzz with him to keep him company and to play with during his travels. Those that know what a big deal Buzz is around here will know that this was SO sweet of Connor (and Andrew too- being that space is limited in his small carry on suitcase!) Andrew promised that he would take pictures of Buzz during his journeys. We got these two tonight, the first of Buzz chillaxin' in the airport and then on board the plane (by the way, Andrew said his seat mate gave him some funny looks while Andrew was posing Buzz for these pictures. I can only imagine!) Have I mentioned before that Andrew is the cutest Dad EVER?? We miss him like crazy already ;)

I have a feeling there will be more of Buzz to com!

Weekend at the Camp

Our first trip to the Arirondacks this weekend! It was nothing short of glorious up there (as usual). This was Leyla's first visit to the camp, she was a big hit! Connor took his first speed boat ride (while Andrew water skied, which Connor thought was very cool.) My Mom, Gerry and Grandma Alice were up there too, which made for an even more fun visit. Can't wait to go back ;)
Ready for the lake!
I love this view.
Great Grandma Alice, Grandma and Leyla
Beep beep!
About to run and dive.
Random horse and cart rides in town so we had to partake ;)
Hammock baby!
Oh my goodness how I love my girl.
4 Generations! And a reminder that I really should get myself a new hat ;)
Leyla liked Grandma's.
Connor was less than thrilled at being asked to pose for this picture. Leyla too.
I LOVE Leyla's little hand on Connor's shoulder (while eying up his smore).
