Visit with Nana

Connor's Nana has arrived!! Andrew's Mom has been here since Friday. As you can see, Connor is having a wonderful time with her and I, once again, am loving having the help! Unfortunately she has to leave us on Thursday- it will be so sad to say goodbye. Here's a few pictures we've taken so far.

5 weeks old!

Connor is now 5 weeks old. We had his 1 month doctor check up last week and he weighed 9 pounds! It's crazy that he's already 2.5 pounds up from his birth weight. He's growing so fast! Here's some pictures from the last week. Such a handsome fellow.

Visit with Grandma

This past week my Mom was here visiting- we were SO sad to see her go on Friday. I believe I've already mentioned here what a huge help she was during her visit. I think Connor really misses her! Here are a few pictures from her visit, in addition to two others just of Connor. He's four weeks old today- and already getting so big so fast. He's already grown out of his first round of clothing and hats. He is clearly getting tired of being dressed up and having his picture taken, as evidenced by his facial expression and hand gesture in the last picture...

Connor is 3 weeks old!

Today Connor is 3 weeks old. We can't believe 3 weeks have already gone by since he was born! My Mom is here visiting right now and she couldn't be more helpful- just the extra set of hands has been a tremendous help not to mention she's so great with the baby. You can tell how much Connor loves to be held by her. We've secretly torn up her ticket home so she can never leave! Andrew and I went out without Connor for the first time last night. Bon Jovi was playing here in Tokyo so we went to their concert along with two other couples. It was a really fun night out. Last week was Connor's first check up and we learned that he's already gained a pound since his birth. I was glad to see that these round the clock feedings have been doing some good!

Bath Time

This is a recent video we shot of Connor after his bath. Connor loves the water (so long as it is the perfect temperature) and sits calmly in the tub while mom and dad scrub him down. This video was taken right after we pulled him out of the water.

Connor's First Friends

On New Year's Day our friends Christine and Paul had us and 3 other couples over to toast the new year and the new babies- each of us has had a baby in the last couple of weeks! Pictured here is Connor with the gang. Hope, the little girl on the far right had just come home from the hospital the day before! Connor is the baby in the big boy jeans- he knew he was going to be the smallest baby there so he didn't want to dress like one too... Connor was especially excited to meet his new friend Carter (in the second picture)- since Carter's Dad Jason works for Walt Disney World Japan.

Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year!!! Our New Year's Eve was pretty uneventful, just a quiet night at home with Connor. The following morning (New Year's Eve back home) we video chatted with our friends Annie, John, Tracey, Jason and Shannon, who were back in NYC, celebrating at Tracey's house. Andrew even shared a shot of Patron with them. It was pretty fun, and they were of course excited to see the baby (even if it was through a computer screen). We felt like we were somewhat part of New Year's Eve back home!!

Here's hoping you all partied til you passed out- Connor sure did!

1 Week Old!

On Monday Connor was officially one week old. What a week its been! I think we're adjusting pretty well to our new life with a baby, we're just trying to take it one night at a time. Of course we're biased, but we think he's just the most adorable baby!!! He really has a sweet demeanor too.
