Stamford Nature Center

This fall weather has been nothing short of spectacular! Yesterday we lived on the edge by skipping nap time in favor of a picnic lunch and afternoon romp at the Stamford Nature Center (and yes it is not lost on me that skipping naps is my version of living on the edge these days, ha). But it did not disappoint!

The otters are usually hiding from us but here they were out and about and standing tall!
Leyla and her love for goats- she is so my daughter ;)
My precious cargo.
So I sorta fell in love with this Mama pig and her three baby pigs. And unfortunately now I think I'm swearing off bacon for awhile :(
3 Litte Pigs.
Peekaboo baby.
Loved watching her run and play. All that was missing was Connor. We still miss him a lot now that he's in school all day and unable to join us on field trips during the week.
 She loved the horses.
Reptile house. All of the reptiles housed there have been rescued locally. Apparently people were keeping them as pets and then when they got too big or difficult to take care of they just let them loose. There was a huge African turtle (the size of a mini Cooper), alligators, ridiculously large and scary snakes, huge lizards, etc. People are crazy.

Tree frogs. I don't think those are rescues though.
These huge pythons (one an albino) were cuddling!
Our lunch spot.
Another perfect fall day!

That sure does take me back. You were so crazy about animals when you were little. Love you all.
