Random Recent Iphone Pics Part 1

Cheese!
 Painting boxes.
I think my Grandma Alice owns a robe just like this so we call these Leyla's Grandma Alice PJ's!
We have finally found a southern bbq place that rivals our beloved Brother Jimmy's back in NYC. This new place (Bobby Q's in Westport) absolutely ROCKS! Cheers!
 Leyla at Bobby Q's.
I took Connor ice skating for the first time a couple weeks ago. It was much harder teaching him how to skate than I thought it would be (esp. since he thinks falling down is hilarious). We made it around the rink only twice and my back was definitely sore the next day. But at least we tried! Definitely seeing some Learn to Skate classes in his near future!
We both really enjoyed the hot chocolate break ;)
My beloved green juice (romaine, kale, spinach, cucumber, celery and apple= Delish) at my fave juice bar. Connor gets a strawberry, banana and spinach concoction.
 Playing at Whole Foods.
Imaginets- one of our favorite gifts this year (thanks Rob and Kate!) We have spent sooooo much time playing with these!

Andrew loves taking Connor to the batting cage. The balls are like 35 mile/hr and Connor hits about half of them- he's pretty awesome for a just turned 4 year old! T-ball at the Y with his little buddies starts in April, he's going to love it!

First (real) Snow!

That freak storm we had back in October didn't really count. Two weeks ago yesterday we got out first light dusting. We were all so excited to get dressed up in our snow clothes and boots and go out in it.
Connor my snow shoveler.
Ok your turn!

Poor Leyla. I ordered her winter coat during a big online sale and it came sized for a kindergartner. It doesn't help that she's such a little peanut anyway. Her snow boots are a size larger than she wears because it was tough finding reasonably priced snow boots in a size 4 (most kids shoes start at 5). The good news- she'll be able to wear all this stuff again next year for sure! The bad news- this year she looks (and waddles) like a bit of an Oompa loompa. She's pretty easy going though and didn't seem to notice. I couldn't find her hat that morning so she's wearing Connor's old one.

That Friday night into Saturday it really came down. My favorite view to wake up to!

Andrew had just had a half cord of wood delivered to our front steps (we've been enjoying fires every night since!) It looked so pretty in the snow.
From our front door.

Pretty right?

Our Growing Family

Jan. 2008, Tokyo:
Jan. 2009, NYC:
Jan. 2010, NYC:
Jan 2011, Tokyo again (that might be the look of fear on Andrew's face, maybe Leyla's too, ha):
Jan 2012, CT (Leyla's very unsure about this, Connor still thinks these pictures are hysterical):

Scootin'

We had a little glimpse of spring yesterday- it was in the low 60's! Crazy, being that we had 8 inches of snow on the ground not 10 days ago. We were outside all day yesterday- we had back to back playdates after Connor finished school at 12. We were all wiped by bedtime!

This was taken at our house, scootin' around. Connor got this great new scooter for his birthday, and Leyla's so happy to have his old one all to herself now!

Bathtime Babes

Busy busy busy lately! Have lots of pictures to share but for now- here's a few pics from a recent bath. I think bath time could be one of my kids' favorite pastimes, they could stay in there and play forever.

Love baby butts ;)
Leyla loves to put her head down in the water and blow bubbles and kick her legs like she's swimming. It's a little terrifying but I watch her like a hawk.
She also loves to do big splashes.
 Bathing beauty.
So sweet!

Girls Weekend!

Last weekend my oldest and best girlfriends came up from Maryland for our (now annual) girls weekend in CT. We had the best time. Jessica brought her two kids with her, Kim left her two kids at home. Andrew offered to stay back with all four kids while we went out one of the nights (which we quickly took him up on of course.) Best husband ever???

All of the pictures were from Stacy's camera. I was so lame and managed not to snap a single picture all weekend :(

Girls Night Out!
Kim and I.
Jessica and Stacy.
Feeding time at the zoo! Our kids had so much fun together.
Cheeeeeeeeeeeeseeeeeeee!!
Carter and Leyla were mesmerized by Stacy's new computer.
These girls have been my best friends for as long as I can remember (in Jessica's case- 30 years??) Next to Andrew, there's no one that knows me better. Miss them already!

Jai Ho Part 2

Not sure why it wouldn't let me post both videos together. Just a little more-- (the video in my last post goes first). But now you can see the ridiculous antics going on in the background ;)
